Making the world a better place
This issue of our newsletter highlights our Kids Connect program, which inspires young people to become active global citizens by bringing World Connect's international development work into middle and high schools classrooms. Our featured student is Linc Berkley, a 14 year-old student at the Fenn School in Massachusetts who has raised funds for projects in Costa Rica and traveled with his family to visit projects he has supported.

Better Sanitation in the Dominican Republic

In an impoverished community with a high rate of water-borne disease transmission, husband and wife Peace Corps team Richard and Cynthia Cowgill built 46 latrines in Los Callejones, Dominican Republic, improving sanitation dramatically for most of the residents of the region.

Champions of
Change Award

Each year World Connect awards additional funds to an outstanding project, in keeping with the values of its Charlotte Daniel Fund Champions of Change Award Program. This year the Singorwet Dispensary in Central Bomet, Kenya, an institution improving maternal and child health, received
the award.
